Employer of Record in Egypt

At the crossroads of Africa and the Middle East, Egypt stands out for its past and its cultural influence. It is a land rich in history, but Egypt is not only an open-air museum, it is also a key economic player in the region. Thanks to its natural resources and its efforts to stimulate development, it attracts investors and offers many professional opportunities. However, finding the right talent can be a challenge, due to complex rules and specific administrative procedures. In this context, freelance administration becomes a practical option for meeting the needs of the Egyptian labour market.

What is wage portage ?

Wage portage works on the basis of collaboration between three parties: the administration company, the client company and the candidate employee. Within this framework, Salveo acts as an intermediary, facilitating exchanges between the employee and the employer, and taking charge of various legal responsibilities such as immigration, employment and remuneration issues. It is important to emphasise that this collaboration involves shared management, particularly as regards the administrative tasks associated with the employee’s position. However, the client company remains responsible for the key decisions concerning the content of the position, its development and remuneration, which it then shares with the umbrella company.

The advantages of wage portage in Egypt

Wage portage offers three main advantages:

  • Access to the labour market: wage portage is an effective way of cutting through red tape, saving time and reducing the cost of hiring local staff. By simplifying the management of legal and contractual obligations, it facilitates access to the local labour market and ensures compliance with current regulations.
  • Risk management: enables effective risk management by providing a clear legal structure and ensuring compliance with local laws. Companies benefit from a reduction in the risks associated with regulatory non-compliance, while minimising potential litigation and ensuring transparent financial management.
  • Local expertise: umbrella companies provide valuable local expertise, which facilitates the rapid integration of foreign professionals into the Egyptian labour market. This enables companies to integrate quickly and effectively into the local economy.
